Modern world threats, the hidden enemies
Terror
It is unfortunate and sad that we are in a world of high security risk and danger. It would be naive to think this threat is only for London and other big cities such as Manchester or Birmingham. Threats have become real, and terrorists operate at large. Far right groups have become widespread with ideologies that do not fit in with the modern world.
We have implemented terrorist awareness for all staff as we feel It is vital we have the understanding and the ability ACT on what we see. It is also paramount that we all understand and accept that there is a collective duty to look after one and other.
If anything looks suspicious do not hesitate and call crime stoppers, or if an immediate danger is suspected dial 999.
Be aware of your surroundings at all times.

Infectious Diseases
The world has seen many pandemics, in 1350 the world was hit by the the Black Death, In 1665 The Great Plague of London, 1918 The Spanish flu, 1957 Asian flu and in 2002/ 2004 SARS. This is far from an exhaustive list as it dates back to 430 B.C: Athens, and with a good few more in-between. However time heals and we become complacent.
In 2020 the world was once again hit by a new strain of SARS, nicknamed Corona Virus for its appearance of a crown under the microscopes, the scientific name being SARS-CoV-2. But globally known as Covid-19.
This strain is highly contagious and extremely dangerous, especially for the already vulnerable and the elderly.
We have seen not just a disruption but the shut down of most of the world, facing huge economic implications to try and combat the spread. It is not a simple process of finding a cure but always is optimism and hope, yet we must become as a nation alert and resilient, but never too complacent.
This is why we have implemented a policy for our staff and clients to become more confident with our efforts in the reduction of spread of infectious diseases.
